After extended consultations and working with many local partners their was a unanimous decision by all councillors of Merton to approve the new community stadium and facilities in Plough Lane and there was even empty spaces for additional objectors.

But instead of looking at the previous evidence Sadiq Khan has called for a new 14 day consultation period as to whether to overturn Boris Johnson’s decision to call in the planning application, which Boris says he now regrets, I’m sorry but that is a joke, Sadiq you should have looked at the evidence and made a decision rather than defer to a short period of what will be pretty poor further consultation!
